Clay Aiken Expecting Baby This Summer

Pop Singer Clay Aiken will be expecting a baby this summer with his music producer Jaymes Foster. She has worked with Clay Aiken on several albums including his most recent. Many sources say the couple have been close friends for a while. Foster conceived via artificial insemination and the baby is due this August. This will be Aiken's first child.

Lil' Kim Set To Release New Album

Rapper Lil' Kim is set to release her new album titled Ms. G.O.A.T. on June 3rd. She has some collaborations on her album featuring artists such as Nate Dogg, Britney Spears, and 50 Cent. If you haven't heard Lil' Kim has also gone "Indie" after leaving Atlantic Records earlier this year.

G.O.A.T. stands for "Greatest Of All Time" even though I beg to differ ok Kim whatever you say!

Catching Up With R&B Singer Houston

Well if you don't remember him Houston is the R&B singer that gouged out his own eye, it's said that he had some sort of mental issues. Hoodnews.info was able to get an interview with him recently. All I can say is WOW what the hell happen to Houston! I knew he was going threw some things but damn he's just a mess, it's obviously worst than I thought. That "eye" scares me by the way.

After Tragic Death Of Donna West Good Things Happen

Last year hip-hop artist Kanye West lost his mother Donna West in November after she had a tummy tuck and breast reduction. Yolanda Anderson who is a Kanye's cousin has been working with a California Assemblywomen to submit a bill to the California
legislature that requires patients to have physicals and being completely cleared and
approved before having cosmetic surgery.

Also Donna's death has sparked other bills in legislation in Canada, Florida etc.

Well I'm glad to here something is being done about situations like this. It's just very unfortunate. After Kanye's mom passed everyone seemed to point the finger at what the doctors did and didn't do, but I think the most important thing is to make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else. RIP Mrs. West.

LL Cool J Releases Last Album Before Contract Ends

Ladies Love Cool James!! Well he's back with a new single "I Cry" featuring Lil Mo and also getting ready to release his last album from Def Jam titled "Exit 13" on July 18. LL has been signed to Def Jam every since he started as an MC. Throughout his career he has released a total of 12 albums. It is also said that LL wasn't too thrilled with how Jay-Z was running Def Jam.

Will he re-sign with Def Jam? Who knows. I'm happy for the success of LL Cool J for over two decades! To be honest most rappers these days don't last that long, can't wait to hear the album.

Fergie To Launch Footwear

Singer/Songwriter Fergie will soon be launching her own line of shoes which will be available in the spring of 2009. She is partnering up with "Brown Shoe" who also supports shoe lines for Carlos Santana, Nickelodeon and Disney.

Fergie states,"I have always loved fashion because it's a great way to express your mood. And I'm definitely a shoe lover," said Fergie. "The right pair of shoes can change the feel of an outfit, and even change how a woman feels about herself. A woman can wear confidence on her feet with a high stiletto, or slip into weekend comfort with a soft ballet flat."

Well I can only imagine that the shoes will be "Glamorous".

T-Pain is Everywhere

Singer(laughs) T-pain has topped the nominations for the up and coming BET Awards. He has five nominations basically from songs he was only "featured" on. Lately every song T-Pain touches has blown up to be a hit single.

The Bet Award Show is scheduled for June 24 in LA.

Honestly my opinion...this guy has NO TALENT. Ok, maybe he has talent just not in singing. T-Pain sings with a vocoder. He calls himself "rapper turned singer" I've actually heard him sing live before, terrible! Record labels just sign anyone these days. I'll give him credit for making everyone's song a hit for the last year and a half, besides that there is nothing else to be said.

Lindsay Lohan has decided to try something new with her up coming album, she's going hip hop! Ryan Seacrest says, "I've heard some of it, I like what I've heard so far, Lindsay is taking it very seriously. She's working really hard. She's working with great producers." Lindsay's album will feature collaborations with Akon, Pharell, Ne-Yo and Snoop Dogg. The album will be released later this year.

Well not too long ago Ne-Yo stated that he was tired of urban music and wanted to switch up, now Lindsay Lohan is moving towards hip hop. Gotta love the diversity of music artists these days.

DMX In Trouble AGAIN!

DMX has been arrested for possession of drugs and animal cruelty. Authorities searched his home and found weapons, drugs, and abused pitbulls. When authorities went to arrest him he barricaded himself in his bedroom, he eventually came out and was hauled off to jail for the SECOND time in one week. He was arrested prior to this past arrest for speeding(something he is arrested for EVERY year) about 114 miles on the interstate.

I've sort of followed the story for a few days now and it's just nonsense. DMX gets arrested every year for doing the same things! It's just stupid, and you would think he'd learn from seeing other celebrities such as Micheal Vick getting in deep trouble when it comes to animal cruelty. Oh well, whatever happens to him he deserves it. I think the law needs to stop playing around with DMX and really let him suffer the consequences for his actions.

Mary J Says Help Is On The Way

Mary J. Blige is starting a foundation to help women with their careers, boost self-esteem and confidence. The foundation will start off in the Yonkers, New York area where MJB is from and slowly spread it's way around the nation. The charity will have grants, scholarships to help women succeed in their careers.

Wow, this sounds great, very thoughtful of MJB. I know a lot of women will benefit from this. Just a small boost of confidence can make a great difference in the lives of many.

Tina Turner Is Back!

Yes it's Tina aka the REAL diva of R&B/Rock and Roll back on the scene! At 68 years old she's looking good, and ready to make a comeback. She's going on tour and it will be extremely exciting to see the hall of fame singer back on stage for the first time in 8 years.

In a statement made by Tina she says, "After performing with Beyoncé at the Grammy Awards, the response was overwhelming. Everywhere I went people were asking me when I was going back on tour. So after a lot of thought and planning, I can answer the only way I know how: See you in Kansas City, where we’ll kick the tour off!”

She was recently on the Opera show and I must say she looks GREAT for her age. I don't think she's lost a thing. Moves, voice, stage presence, everything seems to be on point. Can't wait to see what type of energy she will bring!

Britney Spears Making Progress

Pop star Britney Spears is now getting extended visitation time with her children. Spears lost custody of her two children Sean Preston(2) and Jayden James(3) in January. Spears attended a court hearing on yesterday which went well. The purpose of the hearing was for a progress update. She was previously having monitored and restricted visits with the children but now it looks like things are changing for the better. It is said that Britney has made a complete turn around and changed her image. According to TMZ.com Britney will get three days of supervised visitation each week, and that she will be able to spend Mothers Day with her sons.

Well good for Britney, it's nice to know she's trying to make some changes in her life. This is great news especially for the kids, regardless of the situation they need her to be apart of their lives.

Foxy Brown Hit With A Lawsuit!

Foxy Brown was recently released from jail for serving 8 months for violating probation but she's still not out of the hot seat yet! Foxy swung and hit a woman with her BlackBerry last year. The woman(Arlene Raymond) was taken to the hospital for a swollen lip and loose tooth. She is now filing a lawsuit against the rapper. Foxy Brown was suppose to show up to court today but didn't so the judge has issued a bench warrant for her arrest.

Foxy Brown is really the queen of drama. Every since she's gotten out of jail I don't think she's missed a day in the news. As for the lady claiming to sue Foxy...she's broke, the best thing she can do is GIVE her money. I think Foxy Brown needs some anger management classes. Why is she slapping people with BlackBerries?! LMAO! If she goes back to jail serves her right.

Dave Hollister[Throwback Artist Of The Month]

Lovenheartmusic's throwback artist of the month goes to R&B singer Dave Hollister! If you remember the group blackstreet, then you should remember Dave Hollister. He was part of the group but left to venture out and pursue a solo career. Before he ever made his mark in R&B music he was a gospel singer singing in church. He also happens to be the cousin to Ki-Ci and JoJo. His first solo album was "Ghetto Hymns" which he released back in 1999. "My Favorite Girl" became one of his biggest hits from the album. Hollister's single "One Woman Man" from his second album did exceptionally well on the r&b charts making a peak at #8. In 2006 Hollister released his fifth album "The Book Of David Vol 1 The Transition". Dave Hollister is truly gifted, a very talented guy. Hopefully he will be making a strong comeback soon!

Yung Berg Beefs With Bow Wow

Well Yung Berg seems to have a problem with Bow Wow. He threw a couple shots at Bow in his single "Do That There" and by no surprise 50 Cent is behind the beef. Yung Berg states,"First and foremost, 50 told me some smart shit. 50 told me move him (Bow Wow) out the game, period. He told me to crush him. He told me demolish him," “He told me do the ‘Do That There’ remix with him on it and then come up with my diss record and totally move him out of music. Yung Berg says that him and Bow are cool but Berg wants Bow to appear on a track "One Night" that features Trey Songz. Berg says, "If he doesn’t because he doesn’t want to, that’s fine. If he doesn’t because he doesn’t get cleared because of his current situation, I’m on his head again."

First and foremost...LMAO!

I remember when this beef started a while back between Yung Berg and Bow Wow, it was stupid then and it's even MORE stupid now that 50 Cent has added his ignorance. Who the hell takes advice from 50 Cent?! As for Yung Berg whining about Bow Wow being on his track...PLEASE, let's be honest, Bow Wow hasn't even gain that much respect in the rap game, so why is Yung Berg all over him? They both are lame end of story.

Amel Larrieux[Artist Of The Month]

Lovenheartmusic's artist of the month goes to R&B soul singer Amel Larrieux. She's done standing in line now she's up next, so step aside and let's pass the mic to Mrs. Larrieux! She's one of the most underrated artists today. A songwriter,singer, keyboardist and producer,is there anything she can't do? She is more than qualified for her line of work and she has definitely proven herself. A few of her hits include "Get Up" "Weary" and "I Can Tell". She formed the duo "Groove Theory" with producer/songwriter Bryce Wilson back in the 90s. Groove Theory was successful but she didn't stop there. She moved on to release her first solo album in 2000 "Infinite Possibilities". Last year with the released of her fourth album "Lovely Standards" shows that she's not planning to stop anytime soon. We will definitely be hearing a lot more from Amel Larrieux.
