King of pop Micheal Jackson passed away Thursday June 25th after suffering a heart attack in his LA home. The hospital staff at UCLA Medical Center tried to resuscitate him but he never responded. He was pronounced dead at 2:26 pm.
Micheal was an icon and this is one of the most biggest and devastating losses in the music world PERIOD! There's no need to give a biography on him or highlight his accomplishments because who didn't know this man's music! He was the greatest of all time, and will truly be missed.
I honestly can hardly believe it myself. I knew Micheal was sick but this just took everyone by surprise. He was only 50 years old but lately he's been very ill. It just saddens me. Words can't express how sadden I am. My heart goes out to the rest of the Jackson family because I know this will be very hard for them and I can only imagine the pain they are feeling right now. This was totally unexpected. RIP Micheal you're gone but never will be forgotten!

Mariah Carey aka MC will release her new album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel on August 25th. She has dropped the first single "Obsessed" recently and the music video is set to follow. Tricky Stewart and The Dream produced most of the album.

Fantasia has decided to drive down the reality lane(like every celebrity seems to be doing these days). VH1 has decided to get her a reality show. Jeff Olde, executive vice president of Vh1 said, "Her challenges from fame and her unwillingness to fail have combined to create a larger-than-life talent who appeals to music lovers around the world. So many people wanted to work with her on this, but Fantasia is now part of the VH1 family, and we're so happy to have her". The show will air in 2010.
Reality shows are just taking over Vh1. I must say as long as they don't do another Flavor Of Love or I Love New York, I can put up with watching the rest.

It seems to be that Soulja Boy, Keri Hilson and Lil Wayne have decided to shoot a video for the remix "Turn My Swag On". Soulja Boy is excited saying, "The ‘Turn My Swag On’ official remix is gonna take me to that next level in my career,” Soulja said last week in L.A. “This song is so worldwide, but I guess it’s in disguise, because it came out as a street single. It’s gonna be turned into something so much bigger. Believe it or not, everybody in the world wakes up and turns their swag on, whether they know it or not.
I'm actually not a huge fan of his music, however Soulja Boy has a genius mind when it comes to internet marketing actually one of the best I've seen, so he definitely scores cool points with me for that. There are artists that have been out for years and can't advertise themselves like he can and he's just a teen! I just don't see Soulja Boy doing another song that will top "Crank That" but we shall see. I do like the beat to "Turn My Swag On" and that's just about it. Well I wish him luck!

R&b singer Chris Brown will appear in court today although no charges have really been filed in the physical altercation between him and Rihanna. As most of you all know they are now back together and getting along just fine. The situation blew by fast as I expected.
I honestly didn't dwell a lot on this story. It's easy to be judgemental in situations like this but no one knows what really happen besides Rihanna and Chris Brown, and everyone else is just on the outside looking in. I wish them both the best.

Rapper Coolio was injured after a stage dive attempt went bad at Staffordshire University's Students Union. He decided to dive into the crowd and the students refused to catch him therefore sending him straight to the floor! It gets even crazier after the students then rob Coolio taking his bandana, shoes, glasses and jewelry.
I didn't think people were still doing the crowd dives very much anymore. Well I guess it's safe to say that he really did "move the crowd" LITERALLY.
Rapper N.O.R.E. aka Noreaga was arrested after getting into a fight at a hamburger restaurant in Miami, FL with a customer. According to the Associated Press he ripped up a bouquet of flowers and throwing a drink at a customer. He also punched the man in the face and yelled, "Do you know who I am?" Police hauled him off to Miami-Dade county jail where he was later released.
I can't believe he actually said, "Do you know who I am"? The funny thing is NO ONE DOES. Please N.O.R.E don't get mad because you are pretty much forgotten and no one cares who you are, except maybe the hardcore hip hop fans. I hope he doesn't think he has a household name!

Singer Rihanna has delayed her performance in Malaysia this week following being assaulted by Chris Brown. The two got into a argument after leaving the Pre-Grammy party Saturday night while riding in the car. The situation seemed to escalate leading to a physical altercation and unfortunately Rihanna came out on the bad side. She suffered serious bruising. According to authorities her injures were "horrific". For all you fans over in Malaysia sit tight, hopefully Rihanna will reschedule after she makes a full recovery.
What the hell was Chris thinking is what I want to know. It's hard to really comment on the situation right now because there are so many details messing. It seems to have been a serious situation obviously for Chris to beat Rihanna that bad. The sad thing about it his career is going to take a hit because of all this. I will keep you posted on this developing story, stay tuned!
Rapper Camron aka Killa Cam is making a comeback. He's been gone for a while and how he's planning to smash back on the scene. In an interview on Dipset radio Camron says, "I'm about to bring hip hop back to life. "I'm about to bring a little air to it, a little CPR." He also goes on to explain the reason why he's been gone saying, "What a lot of people don't know is my mom had three strokes in one day, she was all paralyzed on the left side of her body. So what I had did was went down to Florida, Fort Lauderdale, for about a year and a half, get her in rehabilitation, get her walking again, making sure her health was right. Camron also has new album set to release soon titled "Crime Pays".
I must say one of the things I most remembered about Camron was that he was always rockin' pink and purple. He was just bright as hell every time I seen him. Pink and purple fur coats and....just craziness, although he did look good with it on. I wonder will he come back with the same style, we shall see.

Jennifer Hudson gave an amazing performance of the National Anthem during the Super Bowl on Sunday. Shes back in the spotlight after the terrible tragedy and killings of her mom, brother and nephew. R&b group Danity Kane has called it quits. Just to let you know a little history on the situation with that, the group has been having it's share of problems. Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods were kicked out of the group by Diddy(of course) and from that point it's been a downhill fall for them. After the first two members departures Shannon Bex also left the group, therefore only leaving two members Aundrea Fimbres and Dawn Richard. The new season of "Making The Band" will showing the two remaining members and of course the drama surrounding the break up. In a statement released by Dawn she says, "I'm still surprised at it all. I'm still trying to recover from the first fire." "So I'm still confused. I still don't know. I'm just being so honest. I have no idea."
Well she's surprised but I'm not! Having Diddy as your boss? Who wouldn't go crazy? I never liked the way he handled the group. I actually like Danity Kane. They didn't do bad at all in their short career, pretty successful they were. Every group that Diddy seems to create from Making The Band just falls apart. I think the show needs to be canceled and stopped because it always turns messy.
Pop singer Kelly Clarkson will make history as she moves into the top spot this week on the Billboard Hot 100 with her new single "My Life Would Suck Without You". Why will she make history? Well she is set to jump from No. 97 to the top spot which is the biggest jump in the singles chart 50 year history. Her single has already sold 280,000 digital downloads.
Its seems as if people are really rocking with Ms. Clarkson this year! Good for her a strong comeback is what every artist needs after a break.

Akon claims to not know his own age. According to the Associated Press he released a statement saying, "All it's going to do is depress me." "I don't want to know I'm getting older. Then I'll start to think about getting checkups and insurance. I don't want that." Akon says he has a birth certificate that shows he was born April 16, 1977 which would make him 31. In 2006 he claimed his age was 26, however he's "not sure". The comments about him not wanting to think about going to the doctor and having insurance are just stupidity. Making sure that you are in good health should be done whether you're young or old. He really needs to stop with all the foolishness. I wonder what made him come flying out of no where claiming not to know his age. He hasn't been caring why care now!
Today marks R&b singer Aaliyah's 30th birthday. She was born January 16, 1979. To many of us she's known as LiLi, Babygirl or Liyah. It's hard to imagine that she is no longer here with us, sometimes it seems unreal. I would rather not to speak on her death, that's why when August 25th(the day she passed) comes around I hate to even acknowledge that day. I prefer to remember the life she lived rather than death.
Her personality was one of the main things I truly loved about her, she was always so humble and down to earth. I truly wish their were more people in the world that had the type of humbleness she had. At the time of her passing she was rising in her career. Her death was one of the ones that I've always questioned why? Her life was taking away so fast and so soon it just doesn't seem fair. If her life was not cut short she would be one of the most prominent artists of today. She was truly one in a million and she will be forever missed but NEVER forgotten.

Well it seems like r&b singer Ray J has been pulled into the whirlwind of VH1's reality shows. "For The Love Of Ray J" is set to air Feb 2. 10/9c. The show will be the same as all reality shows Vh1 airs, as usually a group of women will compete to be Ray J's main lady.
VH1 is starting to get on my nerves with the reality shows with the same plot. I've tuned in to watch the majority of them but it's starting to bore me, although I must say when the reunion shows are quite entertaining! The most recent one "Real Chance Of Love"...what a mess, I would rather not comment much on that one, but of course despite me not really liking them more than likely I will tune in to watch a few episodes of it just to see if anything "different" will occur, with the contestants that is. Don't worry I won't get my hopes up.
